Hi, I’m Sydney.
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m a 20 something year old writer and soon to be esquire born in Brooklyn with roots in South. I have a strong Libra placement and a serious Häagen-Dazs Dulce de Leché craving.
I’ve been writing poetry since middle school and my passion for storytelling evolved over the years leading me to perform at open mics and writing for Ebony Magazine, Vice, Refinery29, and Youth To The People.
Since I started law school, I’ve had an identity crisis, of sorts, as I navigate the question of whether I am still a creative writer despite entering into a completely “non-creative” industry. I hope my blog posts not only give me an answer to my identity questions, but provide some guidance for other multi-hyphenated creatives going through a shift and other curious (and chronically anxious) law students.
Thank you for reading :)
